The Green Darner is a darner and is a member of the Aeshnidae family. The head and thorax of the Green Darner are green, and the abdomen is blue that gradually turns into blue. It can stay in the air for a long time non-stop, thus hard to get near it.

Due to the high temperature and the drought, almost all the dragonflies were gone for quite some time. In the middle of September, they came back, but the members were different from those observed earlier. Because of the low temperature, they were not as active as before, giving me the chance to take closer photos of them.
