clypeus The part of the face of dragonflies above labrum.
frons The topmost portion of the face of dragonflies.
labrum The upper 'lip' of dragonflies.
obelisk posture A handstand-like position that some dragonflies and damselflies assume to prevent overheating on sunny days.
ocelli The simple eyes. Dragonflies have three ocelli between the compound eyes.
pterostigma A thickened or colored cell of the wing, which studies show helps stabilize the wing during flight.
